Houghton Locksmith Service Sunderland is owned by myself Andrew Melia. I like my customers to know that when they call us, its myself you speak to and its myself who turns up to carry out the work for you. I am not a national company ripping of people with call out charges and hidden costs. I don't use call centres or paid adds which hike up costs. I am just a simple small business, a local lad born and bred in Sunderland and I live in Houghton Le Spring where I operate my business from.

I am a mobile locksmith service which means I come out to you and help with situations where people are locked out or locked in or simply need locks changing or doors servicing and repairing.
When I set about creating this business I spent many months carrying out research and one lads name kept coming up. Steve Taylor, a 3rd generation master locksmith who operate Cornwall and Devon Locksmith Training down in Newquay. I spoke to Steve and our journey started, a journey of 36 weeks of locksmith training, many tests, assessments before I could even shadow a locksmith and start to learn on the job which I did. To put this into context 99% of UK locksmiths only undertake a 3 day training course and then they learn on your doors and locks costing the customer more money! That's why I am dam proud to have worked for 36 weeks with Steve and his team and then once I passed my level 4 award, one of the highest awards for a locksmith I then went into 15 weeks of business development training so I could offer the best customer care, the right pricing and honest terms and conditions.
